Zurich, 19 August 2010 Olympic champion Nancy Langat, her overall Samsung Diamond Race title already guaranteed, again handed out a lesson to her opponents with a simple 1500m victory in 4:01.01. There were high hopes and big bonuses assured if Langat and some of her other talented rivals ran sub-3:58, but in the end the attempt fizzled out after the pacemaking went wrong just before 800m, passed in 2:07.
