Given that Norway boasts the reigning two-time Olympic Javelin Throw gold medallist Andreas Thorkildsen, it is not surprising that his duel in Oslo on Friday 4 June at the ExxonMobil Bislett Games, the third leg of the 14 meeting Samsung Diamond League series, with fellow Ambassador Tero Pitkämäki of Finland, the 2007 World champion, as usual will be a highlight of the meeting.

Thorkildsen, who also holds the World and European titles, has beaten the Finn 24 times including his 90.37m to 84.34m victory in Florö, Norway (Sat 29 May), but Pitkämäki retains a slight edge with 26 career victories over his Norwegian rival including a win last year in Oslo.

I am also a javelin thrower and when i throw 6 times in a row i've never more then 2m differents. How does it come that you sometimes have a throw with a different from more then 10 meters ?
