A whole host of world champions and Diamond Trophy holders will be on the startlists in Monaco at the sixth Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season on July 9th.
Double world champion Karsten Warholm will star in the 400m hurdles, returning to Monaco a year after he ran a meeting record of 47.10 there last season. He will be joined on the track by fellow meeting record holder and three-time Diamond League champion Nijel Amos in the 800m.
There will also be champion pedigree in the field events, as world champion Yulimar Rojas and Olympic champion Caterine Ibargüen go head to head in the women's triple jump, while world champions Tajay Gayle and Anzhelika Sidorova star in the men's long jump and women's pole vault respectively.
Some of the best performers of the 2021 season so far will also be in action, with Katie Nageotte taking on Sidorova in the pole vault just weeks after she claimed a stunning victory with a world lead of 4.84 in Doha. Ilya Ivanyuk, who has won both of the two men's high jump competitions in the Wanda Diamond League so far, will also feature at the Stade Louis II.
