Almost exactly two months ago, the 32 Wanda Diamond League champions were crowned in Zurich.
2025 was a milestone for year for some of the sport’s biggest names, with Noah Lyles winning a record sixth Diamond League title and Femke Bol extending her unbeaten Diamond League streak to 30 races.
Glory at the series final in Zurich was the culmination of a season of blood, sweat and tears on the Road to the Final, with athletes competing at 14 meetings across four different continents.
It was a season which saw three world records and two world bests, as the likes of Beatrice Chebet, Faith Kipyegon, Mondo Duplantis and Karsten Warholm continued to rewrite the athletics history books.
A new generation of track and field stars also exploded onto the international stage via the Diamond League this year, with sprinters Oblique Seville and Melissa Jefferson-Wooden both claiming multiple victories on the circuit before claiming gold at the World Championships in Tokyo.
As always, the series also proved to be an emotional rollercoaster, delivering some of the most memorable moments in the sport’s recent history.
In Doha, Indian star Neeraj Chopra finally broke the 90-metre mark, as he and Julian Weber delivered one of the greatest competitions ever in the men’s javelin.
In Stockholm, pole vault legend Mondo Duplantis leapt to his first ever world record on home soil, jumping 6.28m to delight the Swedish crowd.
And in Zurich, Audrey Werro lifted the roof off the Letzigrund Stadium as she stormed to victory in the 800m as one of several surprise title winners at the Diamond League Final.
