2025 Revisited: Oslo

Relive Karsten Warholm's 300m hurdles world best and Julien Alfred's impressive 100m victory at the 2025 Bislett Games Wanda Diamond League meeting in Oslo.

Norwegian 400m hurdles legend Karsten Warholm will be chasing his fourth Diamond League title in 2026 after regaining the series crown with a string of superb victories last year.

In the latest episode of our 2025 Revisited series, we take a look back at last year’s action at the Bislett Games in Oslo, where Warholm made history and landed a crucial defeat en route to the Diamond Trophy.

Having already set a 300m hurdles world best at the season opener in Xiamen earlier in the season, Warholm arrived in Oslo as favourite in an unprecedented contest between himself, Olympic champion Rai Benjamin and Diamond League champion Alison Dos Santos.

The Norwegian had tasted defeat at Bislett for the first time in six years when he lost to Dos Santos in 2024, and now he wanted to set the record straight.

He did just that, racing to 32.78 to beat Benjamin and Dos Santos and become the first man ever to go under 33 seconds.

Other standout performers at the 2025 Oslo Diamond League included Mondo Duplantis, Julien Alfred and Faith Cherotich.

Swedish superstar Duplantis leapt to a meeting record of 6.15m in the pole vault, just days before breaking the world record at the Stockholm Diamond League.

Olympic champion Alfred opened her Diamond League defence with a win in the 100m, cruising to a season’s best of 10.89.

Kenya’s Cherotich clocked a world lead and meeting record of 9:02.60, in yet another statement win ahead of her World Athletics Championships gold medal in Tokyo.

You can catch all the highlights from the 2025 Bislett Games below.

Each week between now and the beginning of the season, full half-hour highlights packages of each 2025 Wanda Diamond League meeting will be made available on the series YouTube channel.
