
Crouser and Sekgodiso head to Rabat
Two more big names - Ryan Crouser and Prudence Sekgodiso - have confirmed their attendance at the Rabat Diamond League next weekend.
Shot put world record holder Ryan Crouser and rising South African star Prudence Sekgodiso will both be in action at the upcoming leg of the Wanda Diamond League in Rabat next Sunday.
Crouser one of the greatest shot putters in history, with three Olympic gold medals, two world titles and 15 Diamond League wins to his name.
He will be hoping to start his 2025 campaign with a win in Rabat as he targets a first Diamond League title in four years this season.
This year will be his first appearance in Rabat since 2017, when he threw a then meeting record of 22.47m.
800m runner Sekgodiso is one of Africa’s most exciting young track talents and also has experience of winning at the Meeting International Mohammed VI.
The South African star burst onto the scene with her first ever Diamond League victory in Marrakech last year, before following it up with another win in Oslo a week later.
About the Wanda Diamond League
The Wanda Diamond League is the elite one-day meeting series in global athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field. Athletes compete for points at the 14 series meetings in a bid to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final, which will be held in Zurich on 27 and 28 August 2025.
