Asher-Smith and Neita join Alfred in Stockholm

British sprint stars Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita join Olympic champion Julien Alfred in a star-studded women's 100m line-up at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Stockholm next month.

British sprinters Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita will go head to head with Olympic champion Julien Alfred in the women’s 100m at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Stockholm on June 15.

Asher-Smith and Neita are among the most successful British athletes of the current era, with six Olympic medals and 24 Diamond League victories between them.

Both have good memories of Stockholm, having made frequent appearances at the BAUHAUS-Galan in recent years.

Neita beat Asher-Smith in the 200m in Stockholm in 2023 to claim her first ever individual Diamond League win.

Yet it is Asher-Smith who has the better record overall, having won in Stockholm no fewer than four times, including in her title-winning season in 2019.

The two British stars will go up against Olympic champion Alfred, who is hoping to defend her series title this season after becoming the first St. Lucian athlete ever to be crowned Diamond League champion in 2024.
