The full entry lists for the fifth leg of the 2025 Wanda Diamond League in Rome have now been published, with a total of 62 Olympic and World Athletics Championships medallists set to start at the Pietro Mennea Golden Gala on June 6.
The Rome meeting will feature a number of world-class clashes, as the best athletes in the world continue their journey to the Wanda Diamond League Final in Zurich on August 27-28.
The women’s 5000m sees world record holder Gudaf Tsegay take on reigning Olympic and Diamond League champion Beatrice Chebet.
US sprint star Fred Kerley returns to Diamond League action in the men’s 100m, going up against the likes of Ferdinand Omanyala and Ackeem Blake.
In the men’s long jump, Italian rising star and reigning European champion Mattia Furlani will make his Golden Gala debut against Olympic champion Miltiadis Tentoglou.
The men’s 110m hurdles also delivers a clash of the titans, as Olympic silver medallist Daniel Roberts meeting the fastest man in the world this year, Cordell Tinch.
