Rai Benjamin and Marileidy Paulino will both be looking to impress over one lap when the Wanda Diamond League continues at the Meeting de Paris this Friday.
US 400m hurdler Benjamin and Dominican 400m runner Paulino are the latest reigning Olympic champions to join a star-studded line-up at the eighth leg of the Road to the Final in the French capital this weekend.
Benjamin will be hoping to make it back-to-back Diamond League wins, after he beat rivals Karsten Warholm and Alison Dos Santos with a world leading 46.54 in Stockholm on Sunday.
Paulino makes her first appearance of the season in Paris, as she aims to defend her Diamond League title for the fourth year in a row in 2025.
The two one-lap specialists join a raft of world-beaters in Paris, including Olympic champions Grant Holloway (110m hurdles) and Soufiane El Bakkali (3000m steeplechase) and world record holders Yaroslava Mahuchikh (high jump) and Tobi Amusan (100m hurdles).
El Bakkali will line up in the men’s 5000m against Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha and Oslo Diamond League winner Nico Young.
