Two-time Diamond League champion Alison Dos Santos will take on current title holder Karsten Warholm in a clash of the titans in the men’s 300m hurdles at the second Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season in Shanghai/Keqiao in May.
Dos Santos will make his first Diamond League appearance of the season – and his first ever at a WDL meeting in China – when he heads to Keqiao this spring.
Alongside Warholm and Rai Benjamin, Dos Santos has been one of a trio of athletes who have revolutionised the 400m hurdles in recent years.
The Brazilian won the Diamond League title in 2022 and 2024 and was also crowned world champion in 2022.
He has notched up a total of 16 Diamond League victories since 2021, most recently at last year’s Prefontaine Classic in Eugene.
The 26-year-old is yet to win a 300m hurdles race, and he faces a stern test against Warholm, who broke the world best twice over the distance last season.
Shanghai/Keqiao is the second leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which begins in Doha on May 8 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
