Brazilian hurdler star Alison Dos Santos will join his long-time rival Karsten Warholm at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Xiamen, in the second of two back-to-back meetings between the two 400m hurdles stars.
Dos Santos and Warholm were already set to clash at the first Chinese Diamond League meeting of the season in Shanghai/Keqiao, and will now go head to head again a week later at the Egret Stadium in Xiamen on May 23.
They will be joined by world number four Abderrahman Samba of Qatar and Chinese champion Gong Debin.
Dos Santos and Warholm have both revolutionised the 400m hurdles in recent years, with countless records and global titles.
Warholm is the world record holder with 45.94 and a three-time world and one-time Olympic champion.
The Norwegian star won his third Diamond League title last season and also set a new Diamond League record of 46.28 in Silesia.
Dos Santos won the Diamond League title in 2022 and 2024 and was crowned world champion in 2022.
He is also a double Olympic bronze medallist and the third-fastest athlete history behind Warholm and Rai Benjamin.
Xiamen is the third leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which begins in Doha on May 8 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
