World silver medallist Amy Hunt will take on her fellow British sprinters Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita in a star-studded women’s 200m race at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in London on July 18.
The clash pits three of the four fastest British women in history over 200m against each other in a race which is set to raise the roof at the London Stadium in 100 days’ time.
Hunt is currently the world number four in the women’s 200m after she claimed her first ever individual global medal at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo last year.
That triumph followed a memorable performance at the Diamond League in London, where she finished third behind Asher-Smith and Julien Alfred with a PB of 22.31.
“London has such a special place in my heart and I’m so unbelievably excited to return,” said the 23-year-old, who alongside Asher-Smith, Neita and Desiree Henry was also part of the winning 4 x 100m relay team at last year’s event.
“From watching the Anniversary Games as a child and seeing my idols compete, to breaking my PB of six years in the Olympic stadium, I have so many incredible memories.
“Breaking my PB in front of such a loud and supportive home crowd last year was so emotional for me and such a privilege. London always brings the vibes and the noise. It’s so magical and I can’t wait to get back out there and do it all again this year.”
Asher-Smith is one of the most decorated sprinters in Diamond League history, notching up 17 victories since 2015 and winning the 100m series title in 2019, the same year she was crowned world champion over 200m.
Three-time Olympic medallist Neita has also been a force to reckon with in the Diamond League in recent years, with nine victories in the 100m and 200m.
London is the 11th leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which begins in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
