The Wanda Diamond League is back! 239 days after last season’s final, athletics’ premier one-day meeting series returns this Friday with the 2023 season opener at the Qatar Sports Club in Doha.
Kenya’s Faith Kipyegon and India’s Neeraj Chopra will be among the reigning champion launching their title defences in Doha, while the likes of 100m world champion Fred Kerley and high jump Olympic champion Mutaz Essa Barshim will also be out to get early points on the board.
The action at the Seashore Group Doha Meeting begins at 18:00 local time (GMT+3) with the women’s pole vault and the main programme starts at 19:00 with the women’s 400m.
