Duplantis to star in Oslo pole vault
Pole vault world record holder Mondo Duplantis will continue his campaign for a fifth successive Wanda Diamond League title at the Bislett Games in Oslo next month.
Pole vault superstar Mondo Duplantis will continue his quest for a fifth successive Wanda Diamond League title when he competes at the Bislett Games in Oslo on June 12.
Duplantis has dominated the men’s pole vault like few before him in recent years, claiming four Diamond Trophies as well as two world and Olympic titles since 2021.
He has also broken the world record 11 times, most recently with 6.27m in Clermont-Ferrand last February.
The Swedish star started this year’s Diamond League campaign with back-to-back wins in China, including a meeting record of 6.11m in Keqiao.
In Oslo, he will go up against fellow Paris 2024 Olympic medallists Sam Kendricks and Emmanouil Karalis, as well as Ersu Sasma, Kurtis Marschall and local stars Sondre and Simen Guttormsen.
The Wanda Diamond League is the elite one-day meeting series in global athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field. Athletes compete for points at the 14 series meetings in a bid to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final, which will be held in Zurich on 27 and 28 August 2025.
