The penultimate Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season in Brussels will see three Olympic champions headlining their disciplines in the field events.
New Zealand high jumper Hamish Kerr, Dominican triple jumper Thea Lafond and German shot putter Yemisi Ogunleye all return to Diamond League action at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme on August 22 for a last chance to pick up points and qualify for the series final in Zurich on August 27-28.
All three athletes are hoping to add a first Diamond Trophy to their Olympic gold medal in 2025, in disciplines which are among the most competitive and unpredictable in the sport.
Kerr currently tops the Diamond League standings on 21 points, but will want to get back to winning form after claiming just one victory from four appearances in the series this year.
Lafond has already secured qualification for the final, yet she too will be hungry for victory in Brussels following second, third and fifth-place finishes in Doha, Rome and Oslo.
Ogunleye stunned the world with her triumph at Paris 2024 last year, and will be looking to build on a recent fourth place in Monaco earlier this month.
