European indoor champion Selina Buchel will return to defend her 800m title. The 24-year-old won in Lausanne last year, just five days after breaking the Swiss record with 1:57.95.
European champion Kariem Hussein and Lea Sprunger will compete in the men’s and women’s 400m hurdles respectively.
“After Rio, I will be thinking only about one thing: Athletissima and all the people I love in the stadium to cheer me,” said Sprunger.
Mujinga Kambundji, who holds the Swiss 100m and 200m records at 11.07 and 22.63, will contest the shorter event in Lausanne before taking part in the 4x100m.
“When I think about Lausanne, I immediately imagine the crowd being very close, and the amazing atmosphere,” said the 24-year-old.
