Paris: Top clashes in the pole vault and hurdles
The MEETING de PARIS 2019, set to be hosted on 24 August at the Charléty Stadium, has some supreme clashes in the pipeline between the world’s top athletes. In the pole vault competition, Frenchman Renaud Lavillenie will be up against the reigning European champion and current number 1 on the world stage this season, Swedish athlete Mondo Duplantis. In the second face-off, Frenchman Pascal Martinot-Lagarde, reigning European champion, will be challenging the 2015 world champion, Russian Sergey Shubenkov and the Olympic silver medallist, Spaniard Orlando Ortega.
