Mondo Duplantis will return to the scene of his Diamond League record of 6.07m in Lausanne last year when he competes at Athletissima on August 26th.
Duplantis beat world champion Sam Kendricks on Lausanne's Place de l'Europe at last year's Wanda Diamond League exhibition event, with a performance which proved to be only a warm up for his world-beating exploits in Rome a few weeks later. In the Italian capital, he broke his own record by posting the highest outdoor jump in history with 6.15m.
The Swede returns to Lausanne this year, where he will once again be jumping inside the stadium, with the men's high jump taking place as a city event this year.
The event will star three-time Diamond Trophy winner Mutaz Essa Barshim, who also holds the second highest mark of all time with his 2.43m at the Diamond League Final in Brussels in 2014.
There will also be stardust on the track, as Jakob Ingebrigtsen looks to attack Mohamed Mourhit's European record in the 3000m. The young Norwegian has already made a brilliant start to this year's Wanda Diamond League series, with a victory in the 1500m at the season opener in Gateshead and a European record in the 5000m in Florence.
