Trio of Olympic medallists line up in Eugene long jump

Olympic champion Tara Davis-Woodhall will return to Wanda Diamond League action in a Paris podium rematch when she faces fellow medallists Malaika Mihambo and Jasmine Moore at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene on July 5.

Davis-Woodhall claimed her first ever Diamond League win in Rome last year, just a few weeks after securing the gold medal at Paris 2024 with a jump of 7.10. The US star was undefeated in 2024 and will be eyeing a first Diamond Trophy and a first world outdoor title in the season ahead.

Olympic silver medallist Malaika Mihambo knows what it takes to win on athletics’ premier one-day circuit, having notched up eight DIamond League wins in her career so far, including a title-winning victory at the 2019 final in Zurich.

Bronze medallist Moore made history in Paris when she became the first American woman to medal in both the long jump and triple jump at an Olympic Games. The 23 year old took her first steps in the Diamond League last season, competing in Silesia and Rome and qualifying for the final in Brussels in both disciplines.

The Wanda Diamond League is the elite one-day meeting series in global athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field. Athletes compete for points at the 14 series meetings in a bid to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final, which will be held in Zurich on 27 and 28 August 2025.
