Olympic champions Masai Russell and Keely Hodgkinson will line up against the very best in the world in the 100m hurdles and 800m at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Lausanne next month.
Russell and Hodgkinson both return to Diamond League action in Lausanne hoping to get much-needed points on the board and secure qualification to the series final in Zurich on August 27-28.
Hodgkinson’s season has been blighted by injury so far, while Russell is still searching for her first win of the campaign after fourth-place finishes in Eugene and Monaco.
Yet both will have their work cut out at the Stade de la Pontaise.
In the 100m hurdles, Russell lines up against Nigerian world record holder Tobi Amusan, Jamaica’s Ackera Nugent, the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser and local favourite Ditaji Kambundji.
Hodgkinson, meanwhile, returns to the 800m against a field which includes fellow British stars Georgia Hunter Bell and Jemma Reekie as well as Olympic silver medallist Tsige Duguma of Ethiopia.
Lausanne is the second-to-last series meeting in the 2025 Wanda Diamond League Final and the last chance for many athletes to earn points on the Road to the Final.
