Shanghai/Keqiao unveils dazzling 200m field

Shericka Jackson, Sha'Carri Richardson, Anavia Battle and Amy Hunt are among the world-class athletes on the 200m entry list for the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Shanghai/Keqiao.

Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson and Great Britain’s Amy Hunt will take on some of the best sprinters in the US in a world-class women’s 200m at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16.

Jackson and Hunt will be joined in the blocks by Sha’Carri Richardson, Anavia Battle, Jenna Prandini and McKenzie Long, with Chinese star Chen Yujie completing the field.

The dazzling line-up includes five of the top ten in the world rankings, who have a total of 31 Diamond League wins between them.

Jamaican star Jackson has long been among the greatest 200m runners in the world, with two world titles and three Diamond League titles wins since 2022.

Now world number six, her most recent Diamond League win came in Silesia last year, where she beat the likes of Hunt and eventual series champion Brittany Brown.

World number three Battle will be hoping to emulate the form which saw her win in both Keqiao and Xiamen in the 200m last season.

Richardson will also be hoping to rekindle her best form as she chases a first Diamond League win since 2024.

Hunt and Long, meanwhile, will both be out to claim their first ever win in athletics’ premier one-day meeting series.

Shanghai/Keqiao is the second leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which begins in Doha on May 8 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.

The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
