Shot put superstars Chase Jackson, Sarah Mitton and Jessica Schilder will face each other at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme in Brussels on August 22 in a final dress rehearsal before the Wanda Diamond League Final in Zurich and the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
The USA’s Jackson, Canada’s Mitton and the Netherlands’ Schilder have all already qualified for the series final on August 27-28 and will all fancy their chances of taking home the Diamond Trophy this season.
Mitton is the reigning Diamond League champion, having won last year’s final in Brussels with an impressive 20.25m.
The Canadian returns to the King Baudouin Stadium hoping to claim her first win of the 2025 season.
Jackson is a two-time series champion, having won the Diamond Trophy in 2022 and 2023. She is also the reigning world champion and the current Diamond League standings leader thanks to two victories in Keqiao and Eugene.
European champion Schilder snatched a sensational, last-gasp win in Monaco last month to claim her first ever Diamond League victory.
