Stockholm Live: Wanda Diamond League Call Room
In normal times, we would have been at the BAUHAUS-Galan this Sunday for the first Wanda Diamond League meeting on European soil in 2020.
Instead, we are all still waiting for normal life to resume, and waiting with us in the Wanda Diamond League Call Room this time around are Karsten Warholm and Mondo Duplantis – two Scandinavian superstars who have enjoyed some sparkling success in Stockholm in recent years.
Norwegian 400m hurdles world champion Warholm joins us to look back on his breakthrough victory in Stockholm in 2017, as well as his win there last season on the way to a first Diamond Trophy and a European record in the final in Zurich.
He also tells us why he rather regrets his, ahem, somewhat over-excitable celebration in the Swedish capital last year, and why Stockholm was technically the scene of his Diamond League debut at the age of just 15.
New pole vault world record holder Duplantis, meanwhile, joins us from Louisiana to discuss his first ever Diamond League victory, which came in front of a home crowd at Stockholm in 2018.
The Swedish-American superstar tells us why he has gone back to his roots with his lockdown training regime, and why he believes he will come back even stronger in 2021.
On top of that, we’ll have a cameo appearance from Swedish high jump star Sofie Skoog, as well as the usual romp through the best highlights from a decade of the Stockholm Diamond League.
Tune in from 18.00 GMT on Facebook and Youtube or via the stream below this Sunday, 24 March.
