World champions Cordell Tinch and Nicola Olyslagers will join a growing list of global superstars set to grace the London Stadium on July 18 for the UK leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League.
US sprint hurdler Tinch and Australian high jumper Olyslagers both enjoyed the most successful seasons of their careers in 2025, winning both the Diamond League title in Zurich and World Championsips gold in Tokyo.
Tinch notched up five wins en route to his first Diamond Trophy, including meeting records in Keqiao, Silesia and Zurich.
“I learned a lot during my time away from the sport, and I don’t believe I’d be a world champion now if I hadn’t made that call,” said Tinch, who stepped away from the track in 2020 and returned in 2023. “Looking ahead to the 2026 season, I hold myself to a new standard, meaning I approach every competition as the person to beat. I’m very excited to compete for the first time in London.”
Olyslagers set a new Oceania record at the Diamond League Final in Zurich, clearing 2.04m to win her first ever series title.
“Last year was such a beautiful year, but as I reflected on everything I’d achieved, I found myself even more excited for the future,” said the 29-year-old who won her seventh Australian high jump title in April.
The two stars join the likes of Karsten Warholm, Mondo Duplantis, Josh Kerr and Dina Asher-Smith on the London line-up.
London is the 11th leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which began in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
