World’s best line up in Xiamen 200m

Shericka Jackson, Sha'Carri Richardson, Anavia Battle and Amy Hunt are among the big names set to clash in the women's 200m at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Xiamen.

Some of the world’s best female sprinters will go head to head in the 200m at the second Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season in Xiamen next month.

Jamaica’s two-time world champion Shericka Jackson, current world number three Anavia Battle and US star Sha’Carri Richardson are among the stars in action at the Egret Stadium on May 23.

The field includes four of the current top ten in the 200m world rankings, with Great Britain’s Amy Hunt and the USA’s Mckenzie Long also on the entry list.

While Long and Hunt will be chasing their first ever Diamond League wins, Jackson and Battle are out to continue the form which saw them take impressive wins in the series last season.

Battle has good memories of China, having started last season with a string of four straight Diamond League wins which began in Xiamen and Keqiao.

Jackson stormed to wins in the 100m in Rabat and the 200m in Silesia, taking her total tally of Diamond League victories to an impressive 17.

Xiamen is the second leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which begins in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.

The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
