The Road to the Final heads to the USA this weekend as the world’s best athletes descend on Eugene for the ninth Diamond League meeting of the season at the Prefontaine Classic.
Ja’Kobe Tharp makes his first Diamond League appearance since breaking the men’s 110m hurdles world record earlier this month, while fellow Americans Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, Masai Russell, Rai Benjamin also return to action.
Letsile Tebogo, Faith Kipyegon and Tobi Amusan are among the major international stars set to hit the track at Hayward Field.

Eugene is the ninth leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which began in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
