Hall, Benjamin and Kebinatshipi clash in Eugene

Quincy Hall, Busang Collen Kebinatshipi and Rai Benjamin will go head to head in the men's 400m at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene on July 4.

Rai Benjamin will face Olympic champion Quincy Hall and world champion Busang Collen Kebinatshipi as he continues his transition from the 400m hurdles to the 400m at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene in July.

400m hurdles world champion Benjamin is switching his focus to the flat this season, and will face one of his toughest tests yet at the US leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League.

Botswana’s Kebinatshipi is the world number one and reigning world champion and will be chasing his first ever Diamond League win in 2026.

Reigning Olympic champion Hall is hoping for a first Diamond League win in front of his home crowd, just a week before he takes on Matthew Hudson-Smith in an Olympic final rematch in London.

Benjamin has form at Hayward Field, having won the 400m hurdles at the Wanda Diamond League Final in Eugene in 2023.

Eugene is the ninth leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which begins in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.

The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
