He may already have three series titles to his name, but Norwegian hurdles star Karsten Warholm will be out for more Diamond League glory in 2026.
The 400m hurdles world record holder is already confirmed to compete in Xiamen, Keqiao and London this season, as he looks to emulate last year’s an extraordinary title-winning season.
In the latest episode of our 2025 Revisited series, we take a look back at Warholm’s stunning performance in Silesia last August.
The Norwegian had already shown record-breaking form in the first half of the Diamond League season, setting new world bests in the 300m hurdles in both Xiamen and Oslo.
In Silesia, he set a new Diamond League record of 46.28, shaving 0.11 seconds off Rai Benjamin’s previous series record from Eugene in 2023.
Warholm’s was one of several Diamond League records at the 2025 Kamila Skolimowska Memorial.
In the women’s 3000m, Faith Kipyegon clocked the second-fastest time in history with 8:07.04, falling just a second short of the world record.
Meanwhile in the women’s 100m hurdles, Masai Russell ran 12.19 to clock the third-fastest time in history and the fastest ever in athletics’ premier one-day series.
