Reigning Diamond League champion Cordell Tinch will face a glistening array of global medallists when he continues his 110m hurdles title defence in Xiamen on May 16.
Tinch returns to action in athletics’ premier one-day series with appearances in Keqiao and Xiamen next month, after he stormed to the top of the world rankings with a breakthrough season in 2025.
The world champion will face a stern test in Xiamen, however, with some of the world’s best sprint hurdlers set to join him at the Egret Stadium.
World number two Enrique Llopis will be chasing his first Diamond League win after winning silver at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Poland last month.
Chinese star Liu Junxi won bronze at world indoors and will be joined by fellow home favourite and Asian Championships silver medallists Xu Zhuoyi.
Jamaica’s Orlando Bennett won silver behind Tinch at the World Championships last year, while the USA’s Daniel Roberts is the reigning Olympic silver medallist.
Japan’s Rachid Muratake is the reigning Asian champion and current world number four.
Xiamen is the second leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which begins in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
