Femke Broeders-Bol will make her 800m Diamond League debut against in-form Swiss series champion Audrey Werro at the Meeting de Paris on June 28.
Dutch star Broeders-Bol has won the 400m hurdles title in each of the last five Diamond League seasons, racking up an unbeaten streak of 30 Diamond League races in the process.
Yet the 26-year-old has opened a new chapter of her career this season, switching her attention instead to the 800m.
Broeders-Bol made her outdoor 800m debut at the Golden Spike meeting in Ostrava this week, finishing second to Werro with an impressive 1:57.13.
She faces the Swiss star once again in Paris next week, making her first ever Diamond League appearance over two laps.
Werro has stormed to second in the world rankings since she won the Diamond League title on home soil in Zurich last season.
She is the current world leader over 800m, having posted the third-fastest time in history with 1:53.98 at the Diamond League meeting in Stockholm earlier this month.
Paris is the eighth leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which began in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
