From the season opener in Shanghai/Keqiao to the series final in Brussels, 2026 was a rollercoaster season in the Wanda Diamond League.
The campaign delivered four world records and 17 Diamond League records, as the world’s best athletes pushed the boundaries of performance to ever more dizzying frontiers on the track.
It also showcased some of the sport’s most enthralling rivalries, with the likes of Alison Dos Santos and Karsten Warholm, Julien Alfred and Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, and Mondo Duplantis and Manolo Karalis going head to head repeatedly throughout the season.
Emerging talents such as Cooper Lutkenhaus, Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage and Yan Ziyi made stunning breakthroughs onto the international stage with their first Diamond League wins, while several previously major dynasties came to a surprise end in the final.
