The battle for a place at the Wanda Diamond League Final reaches a crucial juncture on July 11, as the world’s best athletes head to the Côte d’Azur for Herculis EBS Monaco.
The Monaco meeting is the 10th leg on the Road to the Final and for many athletes, victory could prove to be the decisive step towards qualification.
Reigning Olympic and Diamond League champions such as Julien Alfred, Hamish Kerr and Marileidy Paulino are among those hoping to continue their winning form at the Stade Louis II.
At a meeting which has seen several world records over the years, all eyes will be on Mondo Duplantis, who makes his first Diamond League appearance since setting a new world record of 6.28m in Stockholm last month.
Australia’s Jessica Hull returns to the site of her 2000m world record last year, this time taking on the 1000m.
The meeting will also showcase some of the most exciting young talents in track and field, with Australian teenage sprint sensation Gout Gout set to run in a non-Diamond League, U23 200m race.
