World 100m hurdles champion Ditaji Kambundji will join a growing list of reigning world champions in action at the Rabat leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League on May 31.
Kambundji joins discus world champion Valarie Sion and 1500m world indoor silver medallist Isaac Nader on a line-up that already includes the likes of Soufiane El Bakkali, Katie Moon and Emmanuel Wanyonyi.
The Swiss hurdles star goes into the new season as world number two after she stormed to gold at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo last season.
Rabat will be her second Diamond League appearance of the season, coming just a week after she opens her campaign in Xiamen.
US discus star Sion is eyeing a sixth Diamond League title in 2026, an achievement which would make her the joint most successful female athlete in the series’ history.
Nader claimed his first ever Diamond League win in Oslo last season, setting a new Portuguese record of 3:48.25 in the men’s mile.
Rabat is the third leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which begins in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
