The four top-ranked female shot putters in the world will go head to head once again on the Wanda Diamond League stage at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial Meeting in Silesia next month.
Reigning world and Diamond League champion Jessica Schilder will take on a world-class field that includes Olympic champion Yemisi Mabry, the USA’s Chase Jackson and Canada’s Sarah Mitton.
The competition, which will be an additional event in Silesia, will serve as a warm-up for the Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels on September 4-5, for which all four women have qualified.
Schilder is the current world leader after she opened her season with a jaw-dropping Diamond League record of 21.09m in Shanghai/Keqiao in May.
She followed that up with a meeting record in Stockholm three weeks later, but the event has remained fiercely competitive since then.
Jackson has taken two wins so far this Diamond League season, in Oslo and Eugene, while Mitton emerged victorious in Paris.
Silesia is the 13th leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which began in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
