Emmanouil Karalis and Kurtis Marschall will be hoping to heap the pressure on fellow pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis at the ninth leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League in Paris later this month.
Karalis and Marschall join Duplantis and French legend Renaud Lavillenie on one of two star-studded pole vault competitions at the Meeting de Paris on June 28.
Duplantis returns to action in Paris after suffering a shock defeat to Marschall on home soil in Stockholm and missing out on Oslo due to his wedding over the past week.
He will be hoping to return to winning ways in France, but faces a tough test against world number two Karalis, in-form Marschall and home favourite Lavillenie.
The women’s pole vault also promises a world-class field with four of the world’s top ten in action.
Switzerland’s Angelica Moser takes on Slovenia’s Tina Sutej, Finland’s Wilma Heltela, Czechia’s Amalie Svabikova and New Zealand’s Imogen Ayris.
Paris is the eighth leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which began in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
The series unites the biggest names in track and field in some of the world’s most iconic arenas, crossing four continents and 15 cities over the course of the season.
